20 Nov Explore the FIMI Drones for SAR
A New Aerial Surveillance
Approach for Extreme
Vertical Rescue
The “Mid Air Rope Access System”, aka ” M.A.R.S.” and all of its various and multidisciplinary concepts that were created under the same acronym by Ivan Kristoff, will initiate a new direction towards “Mid Air Rescue System”. This will be a case study examining the challenges of high-altitude aerial rescue, including a fatal accident during an air rescue attempt by a pilot and an engineer on the Northeast Face of Ama Dablam, as well as other attempts at high-altitude aerial rescues. Our new safe approach to have a solution for such challenges is the creation of a VR Forum and Vertical/Virtual Rescue Assistance. FIMI Mini 3 can contribute to SAR by providing rapid, low-risk situational awareness and visual intelligence in inaccessible terrain, enabling rescuers to assess hazards, locate victims, and make informed tactical decisions before committing human or aerial assets.

Intelligent
Thermal Vision
for SAR Missions
For our new R&D project at extreme heights, we will test the newest aerial technology and powerful thermal imaging cameras that transform data into actionable insights. The FIMI X8T V640’s Intelligent Thermal Vision system makes it a compelling tool for search and rescue (SAR) missions by blending high‑resolution thermal imaging with advanced visual sensors and smart flight features: its 640×480 thermal camera paired with multiple display modes like split‑screen and picture‑in‑picture lets operators see heat signatures alongside regular video, enhancing the detection of people or objects in darkness, smoke, or complex terrain; the synchronized thermal and visible zoom helps spot details at range, while AI‑powered night vision and GNSS positioning support precise target localization and long‑range situational awareness; with up to 47 minutes of flight time and real‑time transmission up to 20 km, this intelligent thermal vision system boosts efficiency, safety, and effectiveness in critical SAR operations.
The FIMI X8T V640 is a versatile search-and-rescue drone equipped with high-resolution thermal and optical cameras, long-range transmission, and extended flight time, making it ideal for rapidly locating and monitoring missing persons in both rugged mountain terrain and open-sea environments.
A New
R&D project for
High Mountain SAR
The “Special Operation Service”, aka ” S.O.S.” was created in 2006 in Sofia, Bulgaria, as the very first independent non-profit volunteer rescue organization in the country. This was an R&D project with the mission to provoke, for the very first time, the debate that a fully independent organization can conduct SAR missions in Bulgaria. Now, we go further and aim at new heights.
Take to the skies like never before from the AirTraffic Drone Control Tower at the Home of the Rescuer of the Future in #BuxtonHeights, where every experimental U-space flight lets you capture the world, push your limits, and discover what truly defines you in the air.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1Fold
To reach the peaks of our dreams, we aim for the stars. Our mission begins with the time keeping with the Think 2 Think seamless connectivity and trusted security of Lenovo ThinkPhone and ThinkPad X1 Fold mobile computing system. During the month of Spring of 2024 the peaks of the Himalayas will be the home for our explorers.
